Propel for strength coaches

Recurring video revenue for strength coaches

Sell your technique and education videos as a membership under your own name. Keep individual programming in the coaching software you already use.

  • An addition to your coaching software, not a replacement
  • Apps for Web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV
  • Your subscribers stay yours
A proposed strength library, organized by the five content types below.

Who this is for

Two conditions decide it: something worth watching on film, and lifters you can reach.

Propel fits if

  • Technique work on film, or lifts you explain often enough to film once.
  • Lifters know your coaching: a gym floor, a seminar list, a following.
  • Your income tracks the sessions you can physically stand through.
  • You want the library under your name, not a facility's.

Look elsewhere if

  • You are researching strength-coach pay or collegiate jobs.
  • You need somewhere to assign and adjust programs per athlete.
  • You run a team's strength staff and need roster-wide athlete management.
  • You have filmed nothing yet, so a subscriber would pay for nothing.
The content

What goes in a strength library

Five categories cover almost everything you have already said out loud a hundred times.

Lift technique
Squat, bench, deadlift, press: setup, bracing, bar path, grip, foot position, explained properly once.
Accessory and variation work
Pauses, tempo, pin work, blocks, RDLs, rows, carries — movements nobody executes from a written name and a set count.
Warm-ups and preparation
A filmed warm-up sequence a lifter can revisit before training.
Education series
RPE and autoregulation, reading bar speed, when to back off, how a meet day runs.
Program-support explainers
A video beside the block you already wrote, so a lifter knows what a session should feel like. The program stays in the tool you write it in.
The economics

Selling access instead of selling hours

Sell subscriptions, one-time purchase, free previews; members pay by card, apple pay, google pay. Confirm these details before shaping your offer.

  • Can a seminar or a single series be sold outside the membership?

Decides whether one-off content earns twice or only inside the subscription.

  • What happens to access when a member cancels?

Confirm the access rules before publishing your cancellation policy.

  • Does anything connect to the software you already program in?

Not confirmed. Assume two separate systems.

Sell recurring access covers the models.

Your programming stays where it is

Propel sells access to recorded content. Athlete programming and individual feedback stay in your coaching tools.

  • No program builder

Propel writes no sessions, sets no percentages and progresses no block.

  • No athlete tracking

No logged sets, no e1RM history, no bar-velocity data, no per-athlete dashboard.

  • No check-ins or messaging

Members hold a subscription to a library, not a weekly thread with you.

  • No team or roster management

No squads, no groups, no compliance reporting for a staff of coaches.

  • No certification

Propel issues and verifies nothing. It assumes the credentials you hold.

Where it gets watched

How members watch

Apps are available for Web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Android TV. Check the viewing experience your lifters need; no other device or store is claimed.

  • Test how quickly a lifter can find a technique video between sets.
  • Try an education series on a television at home.
  • Confirm account access across devices before promising it to members.
The numbers

A revenue example

Members multiplied by price, using the lifters you can genuinely reach.

Revenue per month, before costs €3,000
Revenue per year, before costs €36,000

What this assumes

  • Every member pays the same amount, every month.
  • Nobody cancels, and nobody is on a discount or a free trial.
  • Taxes, payment costs and platform costs are not deducted.

Worked example. 200 members paying €15 a month is €3,000 a month, or €36,000 a year, before any costs.

Revenue before costs: payment processing, app-store commission on in-app purchases, tax where liable, and your platform plan. Assumptions appear beside the figure. Your Propel plan is not deducted here: €199/mo on Studio, €599/mo on Brand, and no cut of your sales. Model your platform costs.

The two we hear most

Common objections

Both are reasonable.

My content is already free on Instagram
Keep posting clips. Charge for an ordered technique library that lifters can work through and revisit.
I only coach one to one
Film explanations you repeat in first sessions. A library can serve lifters who cannot book your time.

Strength library FAQ

How much do I need on film before launching?

Cover the main lifts and one education series, with enough depth to justify repeat visits. Choose a publishing rhythm you can keep rather than chasing a video count.

Can I use years of existing seminar and technique footage?

Existing footage can anchor your first library. Done-for-you migration is €490 on Studio and included on Brand.

Do I have to leave the software I program in?

No. Programming, logging and check-ins stay where they are; Propel sells the video library beside them. What integrations exist is not confirmed.

What does Propel cost, and when can I launch?

Studio is €199/mo for your own-brand web app and Brand is €599/mo with your own iOS, Android, Apple TV and Android TV apps, plus a one-time €3,500 app launch. Propel takes no percentage of your sales. All prices exclude VAT. Propel is pre-launch and open for early access; no launch or store-review date is published.
